Who are Peebs.Net?

We are a group of concerned individuals who have all been hurt by a group known as the Exclusive Brethren.

This web site has been in operation since early 2004 and we have two major objectives:

 We use the Truth as our weapon. Our site motto is "The Truth will set you free" and we aim that at those who remain trapped inside. We are committed to helping Escapees free themselves from the clutches of the Exclusive Brethren.

 We want to have free access to see our families again. We have children that we are not allowed to contact. We have parents that we cannot talk to. We have grandchildren we have never seen. We are not told of loved-one's deaths. We are not invited to their funerals. We want the Exclusive Brethren gates unlocked and the ability to have normal human interaction with our families.

We will not stop our campaigns and activities until we have convinced the Exclusive Brethren that they are utterly wrong to rip our families apart.

What does this site contain?

We have a comprehensive News Desk that gathers News from around the world.

We have a Guestbook that is used by many to re-establish contact with friends and loved-ones who have lost contact over the years.

We have a very busy Bulletin Board which has a number of public Forums and many hidden member-only areas where ex-Exclusive Brethren get to talk openly about their experiences with each other.

Why should Exclusive Brethren Meeting Halls receive tax-exemption?

Many communities are starting to ask questions regarding those strange barred, gated and padlocked windowless buildings that may well be in your community. The Exclusive Brethren do not wish to associate with others. Their view is they are the only true church. The public are actively discouraged from entering their meeting rooms. Why then are they described as a 'Public Place of Worship'?

One Australian city, Brisbane, had the courage to test this blatant untruth in court - they won on appeal. The decision and details surrounding the case are well documented and you can find that information in the following pages.

Municipality Campaign - a Peebs.Net initiative

You are probably quite used to seeing a public place of worship. It tends to be a place where, particularly on a Sunday morning, people will gather to worship. The doors are open and if travelling by car, there is often a parking lot where visitors can pull in and park.

Most will give you a smiling welcome at the door and often a small side table will hold literature that describes the church, its beliefs and community activities. It normally does not matter if you arrive a few minutes late as you will be able to slip into the back row and quietly join the service.

Not so with the Exclusive Brethren.

In fact, you would be excused in not even recognizing their buildings as 'churches'. They have a strange architecture for a 'church' - their halls are windowless and bleak. They are surrounded by high fences and nearly all have a strong iron-barred front gate.

Some even have tank-proof traffic defences that are erected once they are inside!

If you, as a member of the public, were to arrive a few minutes late for a service, you would find the gate closed and probably locked. If you somehow managed to reach the entrance door, you would again find it locked.

Sure, there will be a bell-push and if you were brave enough to push the button, someone will certainly come to the door. But no smiling welcome - any conversation will have the same result. If you are not a member of the Exclusive Brethren, you will be told to go away and that "someone will visit you".

Should you arrive with others in time for their frequent services, you will be immediately singled out and will find the same reaction. No member of the public can attend an Exclusive Brethren service as a visitor 'off the street'.

How is it then that they can receive the same tax-exemptions as other churches who welcome visitors? Do you feel rather aggrieved that you might well be subsidising the Exclusive Brethren? If they wish to exclude the public from their worship services, they have that right. But we maintain they do not have the right to expect the rest of society to financially support their anti-social behavior.

Exclusive Brethren Meeting Halls do not deserve tax-exemption as public places of worship.

For the simplest of reasons - they are not!

Contact your local Municipality

We have a template letter that will tell your local municipality everything they need to know. Tell them that the Exclusive Brethren Meeting Hall tax-exemption is a waste of public money. The Exclusive Brethren do not want you in their services and their claim to be a 'public' place of worship is blatantly untrue.

Register as a Municipality

If you Register with us, we will send you an information pack that will outline how Brisbane City Council fought and won. You have an obligation as a community official to ensure public money is not misused. This is such a case.
