I was born on the 4/4/1944 the third child to James & Loyal Baker of Fairfield N S W born into the Brethren Family when the pure Gospel was preached .We left Fairfield in 1954 and lived in Tahmoor N S W . After my sister sadly married an un believer she was shut out.My father then left with her and left my mum and i still attending . Not long after that my Mum left to and i turned my back on all of what i had been taught .After many years of sin & rebellion and going to Vietnam as a Platoon Medic at aged 22 and being on Valium for 9 years the Lord Jesus saved me on the 5th March 1982 .I was born again by the Spirit of God convicting me of sin death & satan and then setting me free to worship Him as Lord & Savior and to look for His return . Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy .All things work for good for those who love Him and have been called by Him by His grace . Amen

Hey everyone, Left a couple years ago now. I am currently working in Afghanistan and doing very well for myself. Leaving the peebs was the best thing i ever did and quit working for them was even better. I left for many reasons and one of the bigger ones was bocause i am gay. I am now in a relationship and hope to marry within the next year. Anybody else in somewhat or the same situation? feel free to email if you want to chat.
Last place i lived while in was San Antonio TX.
One of the saddest things about being out is that your direct family does not respect you in any way. I dont let this get me down tho since i know i am living a free and uncomplicated life that is not controlled by anybody but myself and my own decisions, and they have proven to be far better for me than when i was controlled by leaders and other peeb members. I dont need to ask permission if i want to get on a plane and fly somewhere, I can eat chinese food in a restaurant without worrying about somebody seing me and getting in trouble and so on...
Life is a gift we all have and i intend to live mine to the fullest.
I have a very high salary for my age wich i could never have made being in the peebs, I studied in collage, I am travelling the world and most important, i can love and spend the rest of my life with a wonderful person who loves me the same without a cult or religious belief interfering with our household or way of life. If anybody is in and wanting to get out but dont have the strength or courage to, just do. It is hard at first but once you get on your feet and start making progress in life it is the best thing ever.

Hi everyone. Haven't been on here for a while but had an experience yesterday which I want to share. I live in Auckland NZ and my Aunt died last fri aged 96 and she lived in Thames. About 1 hrs drive from Auckland.
My sister Lynley and myself went with our cousin (her son who left the peebs about 40 yrs ago,) to the burial. (Graveside only of course). He, out of respect, notified the ones inside that he would be coming, so what do they do, but change the time of the funeral from 12.30 till 4pm.
It didn't worry us as we all had taken the day off work, but how unchristian is that to try and shut out a son from his mothers funeral, because they all know that at the graveside it is a public place and they dont have the control to stop anyone coming to it.
At the graveside, the site that met us was un believeable and I still cannot believe they were brethren. I have never seen a group of young girls out here in the world dress as terrible as those inside did and they are supposed to be an example to the world. The young sisters had clothes on that looked like they were in a fashion parade back in 1960. I was absolutely horrified and couldn't believe that parents would buy or make those type of clothes, let alone let the kids wear them. I was amazed that the priests in the place would let that kind of thing be brought into the assembly, the holy place.
I also was shocked to see the over-weight state of so many of the guys and young ones too... but I guess that comes down to the eating and drinking that they do. It was great to see so many that I knew and had had a lot to do with when we were in, and it was also interesting that they acted like they had never known us, although they kept on staring.
The god that i rely on and know and love is a god of love not of condemnation but the way my cousin was spoken too and treated, by his own brother, at the time of his mothers death was so unchristian.

Hi all. Not been on for good few years but after recent visit to my parents - to introduce the 2 grandchildren that they don't know, felt inspired to revisit! Its hard when your kids need that knowledge, of their family and grandparents, yet I have to answer the question of "Will your mum and dad give us a hug"? And I couldn't answer that one! (The answer was, my mum did but dad didn't)! I was given the "Things are very different now with Mr Bruce at the helm..." talk! Parents are David & Ann Fidler of Southampton. Left in '95. Life has been interesting... but always MY choices! Enjoy your choices and smile! xx

Helloo all I'm a peeb and am starting to think that I really can't take this life full of control and stupidity any longer... None of it makes any sense to me and it just makes me even more confused! Lisarow RAID needs your support to put a BIG nail into local EB or Gosford City Gospel Trust as they call themselves on important documents.
The latest DA submitted to Gosford Council dated 28-11-2011 again is full of lies and deceit to once again try and get the 800 seat "church" or so called "PLACE OF PUBLIC WORSHIP" approved to be built in this quiet peaceful rural area of Gosford NSW Australia.
The residents DONT WANT THIS DEVELOPMENT nor do they want the traffic problems this will cause on a road that cant handle the traffic now. The road is just 2 narrow lanes width with no footpaths or kerb and guttering. The road has already seen over 40 accidents in the past few years and WE DONT NEED MORE.
If you live in NSW please check the Gosford City Council website and go to DA's for further information, then do us a favour and write your OBJECTION to this monstrosity and submit it before before Sept 30th, 2011.

Stop inappropriate development in our rural area.
